Jean Tomlin, OBE, FCIPD

Having been involved in the creation and delivery of a number of global sporting events from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games through to the recent successful delivery of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games,  Jean has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead others to Deliver Brilliant and provide innovative solutions to seemingly impossible challenges, exceeding delivery expectations. 

As Chanzo’s founder and CEO, Jean draws on her extensive experience of working alongside CEOs and across multiple stakeholders in the private and public sectors. Perhaps her most highly acclaimed achievement was the delivery of the universally acclaimed 70,000 Games Makers for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, alongside the successful recruitment of 8,000 staff and c.120,000 contractors to support a stunning summer of Olympic sport in London.

Since then Chanzo's major event delivery expertise has supported Baku 2015 European Games and the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, Ashgabat 2017.

Jean has multi sector experience, has an extensive Board portfolio, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and has made a significant contribution to the development of the Human Resources profession, receiving the CIPD’s first Special Achievement Award in 2012 for services to HR practice.

Jean was awarded an OBE in 2013 for services to the Olympic and Paralympic Games. She received the Silver Olympic Order of the International Olympic Committee for distinguished contributions to global sport and the Olympic Values, and numerous awards on behalf of the Games Maker Volunteers, including HM the Queen’s Award for Volunteering.

At Chanzo, Jean has created a highly motivated and committed core team, alongside a number of specialist Associates. As a business, Chanzo continues to understand and pre-empt the global events market which is constantly re-inventing itself.

Rob Clarke

Rob has over 25 years HR experience in Manufacturing, Retail and Major Sport Events.

Most recently he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Senior Advisor of the Ashgabat 2017 Executive Committee. 

Prior to this he was HR Director for the 2015 European Games in Baku and Head of Organisation Development, Policy and Reward at London 2012.

Rob is used to operating as a trusted C-suite advisor and working with the highest levels of organisations, government and stakeholders.

He is a passionate believer in the power of sport and major events as catalysts for positive, sustainable human change.

Nicola Sweeney

Nicola is an HR professional with expertise in galvanising large, diverse workforces through effective engagement and strong leadership.

Nicola was responsible for recruiting and onboarding international Games experts, from Director to Manager level, for the Ashgabat 2017 AIMAG and the Baku 2015 European Games.  Nicola managed rapid recruitment and mobilisation of employees, contractors and consultants from across the globe into all functional areas, through a seamless concierge service.

Nicola has a passion for volunteer programmes since managing the selection process for the 70,000 London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and has provided consulting advice in this area to a wide range of sporting and major events.

Her balanced portfolio of experience across a number of sectors brings with it a broad understanding of complex environments and the confidence, with determination, to deliver brilliant outcomes.
