We have provided advisory services across Volunteer, Workforce and HR programmes through their strategy and planning phases since 2016. In addition we seconded subject matter experts in the areas of Workforce, Communication & Engagement and Training, as well as providing coaching support to the Senior Leadership team.

We conducted a strategic review of the FA’s “off pitch” approach to diversity and inclusion and presented practical, impactful recommendations with performance measures and an implementation plan.

In response to the PPE supply crisis we supported Lord Deighton, PPE Tsar, to rapidly recruit, mobilise and stand up a new organisation, focused on UK Manufacturers, to successfully source and supply PPE for the UK health and social care sectors. We provided ongoing HR support through their transition from an emergency response team to standard procurement practice.

We recruited an HR Director to lead the people and workforce strategy of this innovative new global sport concept.

We provided early recruitment support to provide an interim platform and attract talent for some key roles for the OCOG. We also provided HR advisory services regarding the design and development of the OCOG, including organisational design, workforce budget and programme management.

Jean and Rob undertook a full organisation effectiveness review for the IOC, with recommendations spanning organisation structure, Governance, Culture & ways of working; Performance Management & Development.

Chanzo was proud to be a part of the consortium that was appointed to develop the Master Operational Plan for the Pan American and Parapan American Games in Lima 2019. This initial planning phase involved strategic level planning, organization and implementation of all activities necessary for the realisation of the games and set up of the full organising committee structure.

As Director of HR, Workforce and Accreditation, Jean was accountable for mobilising the UK’s largest peace-time workforce of 250,000, including paid colleagues, contractors and the highly acclaimed ‘Games Makers’ (70,000 volunteers). This reflected the most diverse and inclusive workforce and redefined the international standard for workforce management at major events, and inspired London’s Olympic summer.

Taking on the unprecedented challenge of planning and operating a major sport event with less than 500 days to go, we recruited and mobilised over 850 international and local staff across 30 functional areas to deliver a full turnkey local organising committee event delivery solution. This included the Chief Operating Officer, his senior leadership team and the Heads of function across all operational areas.

We developed an HR infrastructure, embedded a governance structure and worked with the leadership team to develop a culture and reward framework to support this fast paced health-tech business.
Providing an interim HR Director, in addition to 1:1 leadership coaching, Chanzo have ensured the business is able to reach its full potential.
